A Week in God’s Own Country: Kerala 2010
During the end of November / beginning of December 2010, writer Susmita Thondapu and I spent a week in India’s south-western state of Kerala. Tea plantations, art (art cafés, martial arts and artistically-minded people) and solitude sum up the three destinations we chose, namely the hill station of Munnar, the historic coastal town of Fort Cochin and Silent Valley National Park. As a photographer, my anxiety about Kerala was, “everything’s green… won’t my album just be full of green?”. Happily, I found more than enough other colours to embellish my palette.
